SHOULD I SEE AN OSTEO?
Osteopaths are highly trained and skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of physical pain. Pain can be due to a direct trauma leading to injury or stem from smaller abnormalities in how our bodies function day-to-day. LDN’s osteopaths Harry, Tom and Ewen provide high level of Osteopathy with over 20 years’ experience combined in the management of back pain, sporting injuries and postural-related pain.
IS OSTEOPATHY THE RIGHT TREATMENT FOR MY PROBLEM?
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of alternative medicine that uses a variety of techniques, including manipulation, stretching, and massage, to treat and strengthen the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine, in order to improve overall health and well-being and alleviate a range of conditions such as back and neck pain, headaches, and arthritis. Compared to our physiotherapy treatment, it is often more hands-on.
USE YOUR HEALTHCARE INSURANCE FOR YOUR OSTEOPATHY SESSIONS
Our osteopathy sessions are covered by all major health insurance companies in the UK. We advise that you contact your insurer prior to your initial appointment to assure cover. Please visit our dedicated page on how to claim treatment through your healthcare insurer for more info.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Our osteopaths work collaboratively with patients combining hands on treatment, exercise prescription and advice. Seeing first-hand the quick and immediate changes people find from beginning their osteopathic treatment and leaving feeling encouraged and positive regarding their ongoing health and wellbeing makes all the difference.
Our physios, osteos and soft tissue therapists often work collaboratively for the care of our patients and you might see several professionals during the course of your rehabilitation. If you are under the care of one of our physiotherapists already, and they have referred you to see one of our osteos, you can rest assured that all the info required would have been passed on so that you can get the treatment you need right away.
Osteopaths use a combination of movement, stretching, targeted deep tissue massage and manipulation of a person’s muscles and joints to improve function, relieve pain and aid recovery. They will always seek to understand the root causes of your pain or discomfort and give you clear and honest appraisal of treatment prognosis and likely outcomes.
